evo malo od nekih sto se prave Englezi:

Hi friends,

I had a sheet of this Friendship 799 in my archives, I glued the ox sheet to a .5mm sponge, and WOW! I'm experiencing SP in a different way than I had before!

I had used 802-40 and Pluto, I liked them both. Of course, the thin sponge of my 799 experiment is suited to pushing.

But the friendship 799 does something better than those 2 rubbers: it allows me to hit very spinny and low backspin pushes from anywhere! I can hit these shots with control from below net height, or while on the run, or against serve.

And I can hit these pushes FAST. So fast that the ball sometimes skids a bit upon impact with the table, and my opponents are troubled because they are used to seeing inverted pushes. These 799 pushes have a LOWER flight path than I could do with inverted. And this allows for faster pushes, and I can really angle the ball because I'm not greatly affected by incoming spin.

The 799 has a different feel then most SP. It has taller pips, it is better against spin than 802-40, and it imparts more spin on pushes than 802-40. I had both the 799 and the 802-40 on my paddle last week, and was twiddling. My opponents all experienced the much deadlier pushing with the 799. With these effective pushes I was able to set myself up for over the table smashes. (but the 799 has less topspin capabilities than the 802-40)

The 799 hits very well, but it hits accurately with the .5mm sponge. I had tried it with 1.5mm sponge and it did not hit or push as well with the thicker sponge.

With serve return, the 799 feels like Pluto, it is not affected by spin very much. But my .5mm is slower than the 1.5mm Pluto I had played. (The lower speed gives more serve return control) I was able to return very spinny serves accurately enough to keep my opponents from FH looping. This is something I was having trouble with when playing against better players.

I'm having fun!

Friendship 799 (1.5 mm) Black is an excellent rubber for blocks, chops and top-spin shots.

What is the point of playing safe shots when you can miss with style
